Hypostomus plecostomus is losing his color.?

Stressed out, scared, sick, pissed off... There can be hundreds of explanations. Based on the amount of fish you have in a 20gal aquarium my guess is hes probably outgrowing it, and simply doesn't feel confortable. You could lighten up the fishload or you could get a bigger tank :) good luck!
