How often should i handle a fully grown fat- tailed gecko?

I just got an adult fat tailed gecko from my teacher and i want to know how often it is okay for me to hold him. i have had a chameleon in the past and it is recommended that i only handle them like once every three days. are there any restrictions like that for a gecko?
