Do you think Big Time Rush is similar to a Kpop boy group?

I'm a fan of Kpop, especially boy groups. And I do really enjoy watching the show Big Time Rush. But since it's been a long time since we've seen a boy band/group while in South Korea, groups are huge, girl groups and boy groups. They once had an episode with them versus a girl group which made me think of Kpop. Until I watched their music video "Boyfriend" that I realized that they were similar to a Korean boy group, when they started dancing in their videos.The boys are good looking, have rapping and a rapper in the group (Logan) and have had a music video concept of being in the future, in some cases where some Kpop groups have a futuristic setting. So what do you think? Do you think they would they be similar or qualified as a Korean boy group? (P.S. They also have a song called "Oh Yeah" which made me think of MBLAQ and GD & TOP ft. Park Bom)
