How to get started on a reptile collection?

FOR REPTILE KEEPERS: I'm looking onto starting a reptile collection filled with just snakes, monitor lizards, caiman lizards, tegus, and other similar-looking herps but don't know how to get started on one, i'm thinking about getting the beginner animals first then moving on to the more experienced and hard-to-raise herps you know, i've had reptiles in the past such as beardies, turtles, a snapping turtle, a chameleon, and an alligator so I pretty much have some experience with herps and just in case your wondering how old I am, i'll be gladly to tell you that i'm currently 16yrs old by the way, so i'm pretty much have the money, equipment and stuff, etc. for this collection and my parents are "OK" with it but I need some ideas and stuff for how to get started on this herp collection, any ideas?
